Meet Patti

My childhood was spent in the small farming town of Hamlin, New York located on Lake Ontario before graduating high school in California then returning to Hamlin to work in the administrative/secretarial field before marrying and eventually making our home in Franklin County, Pennsylvania in 1997. My husband Jack and I have four children and two grandchildren who all live nearby with one teenager left at home.  Now in a new season of life I enjoy spending time with family, nutrition conferences and being near creeks, waterfalls and the ocean and hope to camp around the U.S. in the next few years.

I chose a stay-at-home-mom career in 1992 and then homeschooled my children until they reached various grades, facilitating their education using customized curriculum, 4-H, local homeschool groups, the local public school, and colleges. I was a volunteer for 12 years for 4-H in both Pennsylvania and Maryland.

I have independently studied nutrition since 1995 before becoming a Nutritional Therapy Consultant™ in 2018 under the Nutritional Therapy Association located in Olympia, Washington.  From life experiences, my passion for nutrition has continued to grow and I hope to share what I’ve learned with others by taking into consideration their spiritual, emotional and physical issues around nutrition.

My vision is to spark a passion in people helping them be good stewards of the one body they’ve been given and nourish their bodies with real, unprocessed foods.

My goal for nutrition coaching is to meet each person where they are in their life’s journey helping them create realistic personal wellness goals while considering how family dynamics and daily relationships will be affected by change.  I use the NUTRI-Q software (a nutritional assessment questionnaire) and an evaluation of eating and lifestyle patterns looking for potential nutrient deficiencies and their possible root causes.  I then make recommendations using plant & animal-based foods, supplements and lifestyle improvements to help each person meet their goals.  My classes address the foundational principles of a nutrient-rich, whole foods diet along with digestion, hydration, blood sugar balance, minerals and healthy fats. I recently became a Franklin County Chapter leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation to be a local resource for people to find quality, nutrient-rich, whole foods. I will be hosting a quarterly potluck meal of traditional foods where those with the goal of improving nutritional wellness can gather while learning how nutrition impacts their daily lives.

I am a licensed RESTART®Instructor, graduate and member of the Nutritional Therapy Association, member & chapter leader of the Weston A. Price Foundation, Franklin County, Pennsylvania and I am insured by the Alternative Balance Professional Group.
